The Family of Percy John THUNDER as James Percy HUNTER and Florence Mary ASKEW

This page is devoted to the second family of Percy (James) with Florence.

Percy was born on 23 Sept 1871 in Brighton, Sussex, Florence was born on 23 April 1882 at Bidston on the Wirral Peninsular near Birkenhead.

They had five children, James H born 13 June 1907 at a Croydon Maternity Hospital, Edwin b. 1910, Ronald b. 20 Apr 1912. He died in 1969, Errol b. 2 May 1919. She died in 1985 and Stella 2 May 1921. She died on 7 Mar 1985. Errol had a son Alan Gardner and Stella had my sister, Sue McMillan and me - we three are still going fairly strong!

This is evidence of the transient nature of Percy/James life as he shook off the sins of the past and started a new life with the first of five children who eventually settled in Mosslea Road, Penge. James is only at the school for two months. He is livingin rooms at the Spread Eagle Pub, 34 Mitcham Road, Croydon. The licensee at the time was W Russell.
